Virus Protection Information

As more viruses are being spread, it has become critical that you, the end user, practice safe computing habits to protect your computer from viruses. Remember to:

  • Update your anti-virus protection software regularly (new variants appear daily)
  • Scan your computer for viruses on a regular basis
  • Do not open any strange emails or attachments that are sent to you

If you think you have been infected by a virus, please take care of the problem immediately. The Symantec website (the makers of Symantec AntiVirus software), at http://www.symantec.com  is a good resource for researching viruses and methods to remove them from your computer.

If you need assistance in removing a virus from your computer, please feel free to make an appointment to bring your computer into our office. You can find our appointment sign-up form on our website at http://spike.wharton.upenn.edu/support.
