Virus Protection for Windows 8

Windows 8 users have two options available, which appear to be equally serviceable.

Symantec

Available free to students from the University.

 

Windows Defender

This option is native to Windows 8. It usually comes pre-installed, but you may need to configure it.

  • From the Control Panel, choose Action Center.
  • Make sure Windows Defender is turned on.
