For more specific directions on how to add calendars to the various devices, see Syncing Wharton Accounts with Mobile Devices.
You can subscribe to your Canvas Calendar in any application that reads iCal feeds. Canvas also makes a downloadable .ics file available for import, but in general, you will want to subscribe to your calendar feed. If you download and import the file, you won't receive updates. In practice, this means using the URL that Canvas provides, and NOT clicking on the "click here to view the feed" link.
At this time, it's not possible to subscribe only to specific courses.
There are so many calendar applications and platforms available that we can't provide instructions for all of them. However, if you are having trouble subscribing to your Canvas Calendar feed, please feel free to write to us and let us know what application, device, and operating system you're using. Here is some documentation you may find helpful.
- Subscribing to the Calendar feed using Google Calendar
- Subscribing to the Calendar feed on the Canvas for iOS app on an iOS device
- Using Google Calendar to subscribe by calendar address
- Some versions of Outlook can subscribe to calendars. In Outlook 2010 on Windows, for example, you can add a calendar subscription by clicking on the "Home" tab, and clicking on "Open Calendar --> From Internet." We suggest you search for help using "Internet Calendars" and your version of Outlook as your search terms. You can also contact the Courseware Team for assistance.
